Here I am in Hawaii listening to the waves pounding on the shore. It is Christmas day! It is very strange to see Christmas decorations in the middle of the summer! While vacationing I am still trying to be creative. Photography and video making have become my latest passion although I will always be a painter first and foremost. I have taken over 1400 photos in Hawaii and of course half of those should be deleted but I can never bring myself to throw away or delete my art. I seem to learn a lot from the work that isn't perfect.
Hawaii is absolute paradise and a wonderful way to end the year. We went on an eight hour tour; stopping at the highlights of Oahu. The President and family are arriving today and it would be great to look up and see Air Force One (which I didn't).
I enjoy photography immensely. I created hundreds of shots per day here at the beach in Waikiki. I journaled the events with my camera; I studied the actions and characters of the mass amount of people walking by. I sit here under my blue umbrella and have become a voyeur!
